New England School of Homeopathy

Pacific Northwest Fundraiser Events – In Person!

January 28-29, 2023

The New England School of Homeopathy Presents …

The Promise of Homeopathy: Embracing Our Vitalistic Tradition to Help Ourselves and Our Patients with a specific focus on Anxiety and Burnout

Including an Introduction to Analysis Using Cycles & Segments
Amy Rothenberg ND, DHANP (NUNM ’86)
Paul Herscu ND, MPH, DHANP (NUNM ’86)

Core principles of naturopathic medicine embrace the tradition of vitalism, as well as the healing power of nature, treating the whole person, and addressing the underlying causes of illness. Using individualized, whole-person medicine is an ideal way to offer patients enduring and effective health care. Homeopathy exemplifies a profoundly holistic approach to treating our patients, where physical, cognitive, and emotional elements are appreciated and addressed. We will present an introduction to the basics of homeopathic case taking and analysis from our Cycles and Segments perspective, and use the topic of anxiety and burnout to illustrate the power and efficacy of homeopathic care within naturopathic medicine practice. Burnout, anxiety, and associated syndromes are very common diagnoses which are becoming increasingly evident in younger generations and can include troubling psychological and physical symptoms resulting in both short and long-term disability. We hope you join to explore this topic and ignite further discussion beyond the time we have together.

Exciting News Hot off the Press:
After two years of work, we just had another successful study published: Safety and Evaluation of the Immune Response of Coronavirus Nosode (BiosimCovex) in Healthy Volunteers: A Preliminary Study Extending the Homeopathic Pathogenetic Trial

We aimed to develop a bridge study between homeopathic provings and modern clinical drug discovery trials. Additionally, the findings of mild elevation of IL-6 in all the subjects are worthy of further examination as they may be linked to a measurable immune response from the remedy. This is an exciting proof of concept study, expanding upon Dr. Herscu’s prior published work and deepening our understanding of homeopathic provings.

Read more about Dr. Herscu’s evidence-based research in classical homeopathy, including study published in 2021: Randomized Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Feasibility Study, Evaluating the Efficacy of Homeopathic Medicines in the Prevention of COVID-19 in a Quarantined Population.
